Yummy!!

What a guilty face!!!
The other day Steve brought home some chocolate from work that a co-worker brought back from England. Well it was delicious and so flaky, the moment you touched it it fell apart. Dublin also loved it, as soon as he tried it he just had to have the whole thing for himself! I just loved his little chocolate mustache :)

Baby Shopping...

One of my favorite things about being pregnant is all the shopping that I get to do. Here are a few things I picked up the other night and I thought they were to cute not to share.

Spooky Blocks...

Well after waiting for what seemed like forever I finally got my spooky blocks and was able to finish them just in time for Halloween! I LOVE the way they turned out, don't you? Thanks again Shanade!!!

Lombardi Ranch

Dublin picked out his two pumpkins

Picking out a BIG pumpkin
My three favorite boys!
Checking out the llama and other petting zoo animals.
Anyone hungry??
Jack with the Pox!!
Dancing to the country music.
He was clapping along to the song!
We love our little girl!!
Aren't they just so cute?!

Well I know I'm really behind on my blogging because it's been a week since we went to Lombardi Ranch and I'm just now posting it. We had so much fun this year celebrating fall time and my Daddy's 50th birthday! Of course it was hot like always, the weather man said it would be about 85 degrees but it ended up being in the 90's so we spent a good portion of our time there looking for shade to sit in. I know it was hot and crowded but I can't wait to go back next year!!!

My new "truck"

Well last Monday we finally went out and did it, we bought a new family "truck"!!! Steve says if I call it a car then he gets to go buy himself the truck that he has always wanted, so I'm very careful about what I call it. It's a 2004 Ford Expedition with everything inside that you could want! I will actually be able to fit more than 2 car seats in the back and still have room for others to sit comfortably, we love it but it was a little bittersweet getting it because that meant my beloved Ford Focus would be going to Caitlin. I loved that car but I have to say my new "truck" is much nicer :)

Our little girl...

Well today we had our 4-D ultrasound and I loved it!! I was so very happy that my parents, Caitlin, Aubrey and my Grandma Challman were able to come and share the experience with us. I knew as soon as I found out I was pregnant that I wanted to do the 4-d ultrasound and I'm so glad I did, it's amazing how your love for your child grows every time you see them. She was a little camera shy at first but after a quick walk around the room she was ready to strut her stuff! Dublin was also thrilled to see his baby sister on the big screen projector, he would point at her and say "baby! baby!" it was so cute to see. Any thoughts on who she looks like?
She was hugging the umbilical cord
She feel asleep and we had to wake her up again
She was pointing to her nose and forehead
Showing off her muscles and a smile for us
A cute picture of her face

Yeah I'm that mom....

I really like to people watch when we walk thru stores and it made me realize what kind of mom I am vs. what kind of mom others are.

Yeah I'm that mom.....who doesn't like to leave my child with anyone.
Yeah I'm that mom.....who hates when strangers touch my child in public and then I wipe his hands and face as soon as they walk away.
Yeah I'm that mom.....who makes sure his outfit matches even just to go outside and play.
Yeah I'm that mom.....who doesn't know what it's like to go shopping without having spongebob fruit snacks and juice on hand.
Yeah I'm that mom.....who photographs her child at least once a day if not more.
Yeah I'm that mom.....who would be lost if I went to the store and didn't have a toddler running around with me.
Yeah I'm that mom.....who always carries hand sanitizer with me and uses it on everything we touch.
Yeah I'm that mom.....that listens to Raffi and other children Cd's in the car while singing along.
Yeah I'm that mom.....who believes everything his doctor tells me and I do whatever they tell me to do.
Yeah I'm that mom.....who doesn't like parenting advice unless I ask, which I'm not going to because I don't care what you did back in the day and how they turned out fine today.

This is the kind of mom I am, what kind are you?

Ode to Target

For some reason I just LOVE Target!! I don't know if it's the smell of popcorn and icee's when you walk in or the fact that you're greeted by stacks of dollar bins, or maybe it's the fact that you don't see to many ghetto people shopping there. Whatever the reason I am a Target junkie!! My local Target is here in Lancaster but the wonderful thing is that in the Antelope Valley there are a total of three!!! Including a Super Target!!! So if I get bored of one or they don't have what I want I can always check out the others.

The only drawback to this magical place is that is not really great for my waistline because you can't go to Target without stopping at the food court to pick up a popcorn and icee or a soda and pretzel depending on my mood. I do blame it on my pregnancy right now but the truth is I did the same thing before I was pregnant, I just blamed it on Dublin then. He knows if we go to Target that means he get a popcorn to munch on up and down the aisles.

So my first stop in Target...the baby section of course! I hit the clearance baby clothes and see what kind of treasures are waiting for me in there. Then I meander thru the rest of the baby aisles to see whats whats on sale, it brings me such enjoyment to see all the newborn things like tiny shoes and blankets etc... Then last but not least I like to stroll thru the home/seasonal section to what they have. And we must spend at least 15-20 mins in the Halloween section playing with decorations.

The one thing I have learned about Target over the years is that husbands/boyfriends are not fans, which just baffles me. If you look around you're bound to see some woman happily walking around looking at everything and some poor guy following behind checking his watch and trying to hurry her thru the store. Steve definitely falls into the category of unhappy partner, as soon as we walk thru the doors he tells me I have 5 mins to get in and get out. So I usually try to enjoy my Target trips with either my sister, just Dublin or by myself because no girl want to be rushed out of such a magical store in 5 mins.

Too cute not to post!

Dublin just loves his bathtime and I just love when he gets out and wears this towel! He is just so cute how could I not post some pictures of him in it?

Such a BIG Attitude!

Sometimes I think that Dublin acts to much like a 16 year old and not enough like a 20 month old! For example:
  • he raids the fridge looking for snacks, but refuses to eat whats for dinner
  • he is as stinky as a teenage boy
  • he will point at me and say "NO!" if I tell him to do something
  • he is becoming very messy and will no longer pick up his room
  • he treats me like I'm his personal maid service
  • he doesn't/refuses to listen to anything I tell him
  • his attention span is the size of a nat
  • he stopped doing his only "chore" which was to bring in the newspaper
  • all he ever wants from me are either the car keys or my cell phone
  • he flirts with girls in public all the time!! Waitresses, Cashiers or Retail workers are his favorites.
  • if I tell him not to do something he waits until I turn around and then does it again!

Is this really what I have to look forward to?!

Mommy's little helper...

This past Monday night we made chocolate cupcakes as a part of our FHE and Dublin was my awesome little helper. When we first started getting everything out and ready he was only concerned about the eggs and when we would be needing them, he tried giving them to me and when I would put them down he would pick them right back up and try putting them in the bowl etc...this went on until it was time to use the eggs. He even helped me mix everything together, but I'm guessing his favorite part was when the mixer stopped mixing because as soon as it stopped he went straight in to lick the beaters clean! After awhile I wasn't sure if we were going to have enough batter for the cupcakes, but in the end I'm just happy he enjoyed spending some quality time with his mommy.

Bump Update!

Well here we are a little over 6 months along!! How crazy is that?! We had my 25 week check up this morning with Dr. Ngo (who is amazing by the way) and her heartbeat was 162 and she weighed in at 1 pound and 14 oz. She is just so beautiful I love seeing her little face on the ultrasound monitor.

Another wonderful perk is that I've been feeling great lately, I've gotten more energy back from the first trimester, and sometimes I even forget that I'm pregnant until I move or do something that reminds me I am slow and unable to bend or move certain directions. But this is the really fun stage of pregnancy for me because I get to feel her moving around and kicking all the time. I love seeing her little body parts pushing on my belly like she trying to make room for something. And I think it's so funny that she does not like to be touched by any other person, as soon as Steve puts his hands on my belly to feel her kicking she stops moving. And then when he moves his hand she starts right back up again :)

Well as you can see from the recent bump picture I'm definetly out of the "is she fat? or is she pregnant?" stage. Enjoy!!

Feeling Crafty...

starting out
Making progress
Finally done!

Well I must be in my "nesting" stage because my to do list is about 3 pages long (yikes!) and most of the items on the list are craft projects I want to complete before she gets here. Here is one of the things I've been wanting to do for awhile. I didn't think to take any before pictures, but now I'm wishing I had so you could see how ugly it started out. After spraying painting it white (a few times) it finally covered the ugly checkered and swirl patterns. Then I started in on painting it to match her room, I love the way it turned out!! Let me know what you think.

Vanilla Ice Cream (yummy!)

Ice Cream kisses!!
Way too cute!

Checking out the fresh cut grass.

Enjoying the beautiful weather outside.

What an adorable face!

Enjoying the first lick

Well every week Dublin looks forward to "helping" his daddy mow the lawn, and this week was no different. So I decided to give him an ice cream cone and get some adorable/messy pictures with my new camera! Unfortunately an ice cream cone and mowing the lawn don't go together so well. After his ice cream cone had more grass in it than ice cream I had to throw it away.
