Four Generations.

I just love this picture! It's not often that we get both Grandparents and most of us in the same place at one time, I just had to have a picture of it :) All that's missing is Shanade, Ella and Courtney.

The Poppy Fields

This whole week my Grandparents are visiting from Colorado and so on Sunday we decided to go spend some time at the Poppy Fields and take some really cute pictures :)
It's so amazing to see fields and hills covered in bright orange poppies! Just driving there was an experience, there are sooo many people that come to see them! Cars and people were everywhere! But we got lucky and found an awesome spot to stop that wasn't very busy.
Sweet baby Tessa getting ready to see the Poppies, her Great Grandma "E" made sure that she had her hat and sunglasses on before she went into the sun :)
Dublin was just loving it all! When we first got there he did step on a few poppies, but after everyone explained to him that he needed to be careful he never stepped on another one. He was so delicate when he walked and touched anything.
It was so beautiful there! I really wanna go back again this week, or at least by next weekend before they all die.

My Daddy :)
Isn't this just breathtaking?!
Tess obviously was enjoying herself ha! She just chilled with her Grandma the whole time.

Papa showed Dublin little bugs that are all over the flowers. At first Dublin was freaked out ha! He hates bugs like his mommy.
Then his Papa showed him how to squish and flick the bugs ewww.
Caitlin just looked so cute and springy that day, unfortunately all the bugs thought she looked cute too and we had to pick them off of her haha.

Then this guy and his horse Sophia came by to talk, Dublin was not having it at first. I think it was so big it freaked him out. And at one point Dublin meowed at it haha...who knows what the horse was thinking. After awhile he got brave and with the help of Papa he pet Sophia, she was so sweet and kept rubbing her nose all over Dublin (he screamed every time she did that).
Sophia getting some love from the boys.
At some point during every visit Dublin always ends up on Papa's shoulders. He is so content just chilling with him, it makes me smile just thinking about how much he loves his Grandpa.
Me, my Mommy, Daddy and Dublin. Just missing Tessa who was with her Great Grandma E taking pictures.
Me and Aubs.
Me and Caitlin.

Sweet baby Tessa

Tessa is just such a cutie I couldn't help but take some pictures of her ready to go see family. She is just so sweet and calm and lets me dress her up like a little doll and take pictures all the time. I just adore having a little girl!

She is finally getting some chunk on her, I just LOVE her Challman thunder thighs!
I also am enjoying the fact that I can put headbands/bows and sunglasses on her and she leaves them on! It's gonna be a very sad day when she refuses to wear them :(
I just can't help but love that adorable little face more and more every time I see it!!

rainy day...

Today was my kinda day, it was drizzly on and off all day. The morning started off so relaxing Dublin, Tessa and I slept in and stayed in bed as long as possible until my tummy told me it was time for brunch :) Then we all lounged around in our jammies and cuddled on the couch to watch tv.
Dublin was just loving the rain! I mean who doesn't love the rain?? I really wanted to take him out the play in the rain and jump in puddles but we were both lacking rain boots. So now I'm on a mission to find some rain boots before another spring shower.
It just made me smile watching him look out the window. He was in total awe of everything going on out there.
That little face is just way too cute!!

One of my favorite things he does ha! I asked him what we should do and he says "hmmm" and rubs his chin. He does this a lot to amuse his "papa".

Then he was devastated when I informed him we could not go outside because it was to cold for Tessa. I was not very popular with him for awhile after this ha! I really hope it rains again tomorrow!

Spring Has Sprung...

Spring is here! Today has just been beautiful here in So Cal! It was so nice outside that I just had to take the kids outside to play. You can always tell when the warmer weather is here because our driveway is magically filled with sidewalk chalk drawings and bubbles are being blown all over the front yard. Dublin just recently learned how to blow the bubbles by himself, he's just so independent, he loves to dip the wand and without fail soapy mix spills all over the sidewalk and all for four or five bubbles. But it's all worth it just to see how happy it makes him. Tessa even got into the spirit of Spring and was cooing at the birds that were out and about in our front yard. That is until the happy shrills coming from Dublin scared them away, he just gets so excited being outside :)
Dublin just loves to follow behind me and color over whatever I just made, he just enhances the beauty of whatever I started :)
My beautiful little Tessa just loved soaking up all of the warm sun outside, all that sunbathing just wore he out after awhile and she took a the siesta while Dublin and I enjoyed some fresh strawberries while we colored. Nothing says Spring/Summer like the smell of fresh strawberries and sidewalk chalk on your hands :)
After awhile I think his clothes had more chalk on them than the driveway did :) His favorite spot to sit is right on top of the brightly colored chalk drawings...he must know how much I enjoy doing laundry ha!

Even his feet get treated to some color :)

But all the fun of bubbles and chalk stop when it comes to airplanes. He just loves them and can find them anywhere! I guess it doesn't help living close the base, Northrop and Lockheed. I guess we'll have to continue the fun tomorrow, but for now we're heading to the store to get some water balloons to ambush Daddy when he gets home :)

3 Months

This is only a week late because I've been so busy/lazy that I just haven't wanted to blog, crazy I know.
So at 3 months this is what Tessa is up to:
  • Cooing and babbling like it's no ones business.
  • You only wake up once at night to eat (I really appreciate this).
  • You smile all the time, unless I pull out the camera then you put on your serious face.
  • You do tummy time like a pro!
  • You eat about every 3-4 hours.
  • You suck on your hands all the time and drool everywhere.
  • Yesterday you sounded like you tried to laugh and it made my heart smile!
  • I'm guessing you weigh about 12 pounds.
  • You wear size 3 month clothes.
  • And size 1 diapers.
  • You get the biggest smile when we tell you you're sexy or beautiful.
  • You actually cry now, it makes me so sad to see you cry so please stop.
These are just a few of the things you do at three months and I can't wait to see you grow and learn everyday. I love you baby girl!

Fun at the L.A. Zoo!!

Today was a beautiful Spring day here in So Cal so we decided to take the kids and go to the L.A. Zoo. It was a blast! The weather was perfect and it really wasn't crowded at all.
Tessa was looking adorable as always, people just LOVED her flower headband! We got soo many compliments you'd think she was one of the main attractions haha!
Dublin just loved looking at all the different animals.

He was such a well behaved boy today! I was really surprised at how well he did, we didn't buckle him into the stroller so that he could get out and look around but he never tried to run off or anything!
I was kinda sad we never got a family picture while we were there, it was either Steve and the kids or me and the kids. We really need a photographer to follow us around to capture all these family moments haha.

Another close to being a family picture :)

Dublin thought this was hilarious!
Then he got to do it and was beyond excited!!
Daddy even did it. But no Tessa she was chilling in her stroller.
So happy to be at the Zoo.
Just in case anyone was wondering how long these things lived for :)
The "turtle" that Dublin could NOT get enough of!
What a good dad haha. He put him on the wall that says DON'T put kids on here and then he walked away...this is why kids have Mommy's.
I had to take a few pictures before I made him get down.
He wasn't very thrilled with me after that.

He thought this little thing was just too funny!
The only time we saw the elephant! I don't know where it hides but it's really good at it ha!
The sleepy tiger...
and the sleepy hippo! All the animals decided to take naps or something so we decided to take our own little break.
We let Dublin run around in the toddler play area, he of course was running a million miles an hour around in there. Oh well I didn't have to run after him :)

Time to get back to the animals!

The only two pictures I could get of the front of them, all the others are of their butts! Which seemed to be a common theme at the Zoo today, so when we went to the gift shop and saw a book called "Always lots of heinies at the zoo" I had to buy it! It already is a classic around our home :)
My favorite part of the zoo...the giraffes!!
They're so cute!
Speaking of cute here's another picture of Tessa!
And my little stud muffin.
Shortly after this picture we had a wardrobe change for miss Tessa, I really need to buy some travel spray-n-wash.
Mommy and Tess.
Finally a ride he's tall enough for!!
And it's a "choo choo", needless to say we spent a good amount of time here :)

Haha Dublin's face is just so funny here!

And to end it all some meerkat butt :)
