Tessa and her food....

We just discovered tonight at dinner that Tessa LOVES corn on the cob. Actually she loves all veggies (broccoli, asparagus, green beans etc...) but I'm thinking corn might be her favorite. She would growl at us and squeal when we tried to take it away from her.
This is the piece she was eating AFTER she ate all the food on her plate.

I love that peppery little smile :)

And my handsome little stud who isn't really so fond of corn on the cob.

And finally her second, yes second piece of corn on the cob. Guess I know what we'll be making lots of this summer :)

Our new sandbox

Steve built a sandbox for the kids the other day and we just now filled it with sand. Needless to say the kids love it and it will be a great source of entertainment for them this summer. The only problem I see with it is how sandy they are after playing in it. Seriously there was about an inch of sand in my tub after I bathed them.

But the sandy bath tub was totally worth it because Dublin made a sand castle just for me!! And he buried my toes in the sand :) Yup I'm thinking this is gonna be totally worth a dirty tub all summer.

Our little binky baby

(I know the picture is horribly blurry)

This is how Tessa walks around the house. One binky in the mouth and two in her hand JUST IN CASE the binky in her mouth falls out she has two replacements there. I'm thinking it's time to break her off the binky.

Happy 16th Birthday Aubrey!

Happy (late) sweet sixteen birthday Aubrey!!

Seriously Aubrey is the best little sister ever! She came over to babysit for me while I had a dentist appointment on her 16th birthday! AMAZING is all I can say. To start the day off right we made pancakes and bacon for breakfast. With the letter A for Aubrey and the number 16.
Tessa loved it and was almost done before the rest of us even started.

Because it's not really a birthday if you don't put a candle in everything :)

For lunch we went to Great Wall for some Chinese food which was uber yummy!! Unfortunately we had to rush so that we could get to my appointment on time, but still totally worth it!

And then to finish off the birthday (food) celebration I had Steve pick up some Rae's cupcakes on the way home from work.

Happy Birthday again Aubrey! Thank you for gracing us with your presence on your special day :)

It's getting warmer...

I hate the heat but I love popsicles! And so do my kids. It's the only thing that makes the heat tolerable.

And Tessa has made it very clear that she loves it outside. She loves playing in dirt more than her brother does.

And yes Dublin still rocks the froggy rain boots :) Fun fact: all rain boots are know as froggy boots in our house :)

Haircuts...

Dublin even though you really don't like getting your hair cut I just wanted you to know I look forward to spending that one on one time with you. I love you so much and I love your amazing personality and how funny you are. I just wanted you to know how much you mean to me and how much I love you.

Love, Mommy

Happy cinco de mayo

I love holidays and look for any excuse to celebrate something. Steve thinks it's nuts to celebrate them all but he goes along with it for me :) On Cinco de Mayo we had donuts for breakfast (healthy I know) but the best part was how crazy a sugar rush Tessa got. She was bouncing off the walls and her nap was two hours late because she was still so wired! It was hilarious though. Even after I took the donuts away she managed to get them off the table and was hiding in the corner eating them. It really was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
And for dinner we had enchiladas (so yummy!) and we listened to mariachi music on pandora radio. The reaction from the kids was to funny. Dublin covered his ears anytime he wasn't eating. But after about 4-5 songs it was time to turn it off because it really is annoying!

And to finish the night off we went outside to throw those little poppers. That really had no part to do with Cinco de Mayo we just found a bunch of them from last year and thought it would be fun. Both kids thought it was hilarious to throw them, even if they didn't pop. I thought it was hilarious to throw them at Steve's feet, he did not think it was funny. Also if you throw a whole bag at once the bag will explode but you only get one pop, totally not worth it.

Happy (late) Cinco de Mayo!!

Sundays are awesome!

We get to go to church. We get to all take naps (minus Dublin). And we get to play outside as a family.
We water our flowers.

We find sticks and make believe that they're swords.

We hold hands with our siblings and play.

We take pictures together.

We have more sword fights.

And we always have an amazing Sunday dinner as a family! I don't know what it is but dinner always seems to taste better on Sunday :)

Yup Sunday's are stinkin' awesome!

playtime...

we love our early morning playtime.
They also really look forward to finding rainbows on the ceiling every morning. It's going to be a sad day when they discover it's only the sun hitting some glass.

And afternoon naps. Even though this little boy isn't allowed to take naps, if he sleeps for even 5 minutes he's up until 10:30-11 at night. It's horrible!! So naps are a no go for him.

But he sure does look cute!
