...randomness...

My poor baby had to get her 12 month shots and have blood drawn :( She cried for a second after she got her shots but didn't make a peep when she had to have her blood drawn! I was so surprised! Especially since the nurse couldn't get anything from her first attempt so she switched arms, and still nothing. Not a peep. She was such a trooper!

And of course my handsome little man :) He wanted his picture taken since I took one of Tessa.

Tessa loves to watch and "help" me unload the dishwasher. She pushes her little face up against the top rack and just stares at me while I'm doing the dishes...creepy. Unfortunately I wasn't fast enough grabbing the camera but trust me it's hilarious to see.

She has developed a love for sunglasses! I think its so funny that she'll actually keep them on.

Ugh this picture doesn't do her hair justice! It was bonkers!! I guess that's how you know you had a great nap when you wake up and your hair is pointing in every direction :)

On the top of my wish list...

So I totally am in love with this place! We've been talking about upgrading to a bigger house because we're already outgrowing our current home. And if I had my way we'd buy this house :) The master closet was like the size of my master bedroom right now...I'm drooling just thinking about it. Yup I love this house, all six bedrooms of this house. I'm trying to not get my hopes up but I think it might be too late for that :/

holiday weekend recap

We had a play date at the mall playground with friends (they changed out the equipment and it is now more infant friendly so Tessa could play too).
I did a really crappy job of getting any (good) pictures because I was way too busy talking with friends and chasing Tessa back into the playground area.

We found all the missing matches for Tessa's socks and 8 binkies!! It felt like we hit gold! Since taking this picture she has managed to lose most of them again :(

We decided things needed to change around here. Dublin refuses to sleep in his room alone so we moved Tessa in there with him (so far it's working great!). And we need a place to put all the toys. So Tessa's room is now the toy room.

Organizing all the toys...not easy with two little ones making a mess right behind you the whole way. As of right now the house is a HUGE disaster and toys are everywhere! grrr.

But he puts on the charm really well and knows how to get outta trouble with me.

Then we made breakfast :) The yellow and red glob on the left side is toast with jelly. Dublin way really excited to play with his playdough, but I might have been a little more excited than he was :)

Then we :fried: the egg and tried to get Daddy to eat it...no such luck.

Now we have to spend the day cleaning up (boo) from our relaxing weekend at home :(

1-11-11

I can't believe it! She's one!!! Where did this last year go??! It flew by sooo fast! At 8:09 am my baby turned into a little girl. She was the sweetest little girl today. We spent all morning cuddling and playing together and then she took her first nap of the day while I got ready.
Since her first birthday is more for me than for her we did what I wanted to do :) We met up with Daddy for lunch at The Great Wall (she loved the Almond Chicken!) and then to Simply Spoiled. It is the cutest little boutique! She got some new jewelery (because a girl can never have enough right??) and an apron.

Then we came home and she napped for three hours (that was like a gift to me!) while I cleaned the house.

Anyways at 1 year you are:

• wearing size 4 diapers
• size 12 month clothing
• you still have no teeth...pitiful. BUT I can see them almost breaking through so I kinda count them :)
• You wave bye bye
• you say mama, dada, baby and you said bye once
• you walk/run everywhere
• you wear size 3 shoe
• you've only been waking up twice a night to nurse but I'm weaning you off so that should stop soon right??
• you love playing with your brother!
  

• you take everything away from your daddy
• you smile and laugh all the time, but you have a very serious face for people that you don't know or like
• your (I'm guessing) about 30 inches tall
• and (guessing again) about 25 pounds
• you eat EVERYTHING!
• you're developing a very funny personality!

We are so lucky to have you Tessa and we love you so very much! I look forward to this next year with you :) Love you chunky monkey!!

We celebrated Tessa's birthday party on Jan 8 with our immediate family and I think it turned out really cute :) I also didn't want to forget anything about it so there are like a zillion pictures ha!
