Easter pt 2

Since we waited to do the egg hunt til after church it also meant we waited to open our Easter baskets. Which by the way is NOT an easy thing to do with two small kids. After getting out of the shower I found Dublin playing in his Easter basket, that was the moment I discovered you can't hid anything with toys and candy in it from kids.

Dublin's basket.

Tessa's basket.

Tessa was kind enough to help Dublin open everything in his basket :)

And he was not allowed to return the favor when it came time to open her basket :)

Finally opening their Easter gifts from Grandma & Grandpa Challman.

Despite the look on his face in this picture he was really excited. But the biggest hit was the oreo cookies inside. Good move Grandma!

Me and my handsome (but sick) little man.

Me and the little lady.

I swear pigtails have never looked so cute!!

Playing cars together, complete with car noises.

Easter pt 1

Happy Easter!! Let me start off by saying this is my new favorite picture of Tessa! Pigtails work for her!

And my handsome stud in his Easter suit.

Kisses for her big brother :)

This year we had to do things a little different since both kids were sick. Both the kids and I missed Church so we decided to wait to "do" Easter until after Steve got home from his Church meetings. I was glad we did because it was so bright and beautiful when we did. And yes I did make them dress up just for the egg hunt, since they didn't get to wear them to Church.

Tessa is pro at egg hunts.

Showing off all his eggs to his momma :)

Sneaking eggs outta Tessa's basket :)

Counting all their eggs.

This year I decided to make the hallow eggs with confetti in them instead of buying them. They were easy to make but very time consuming. But I think part of that was because Wal-Mart didn't have confetti in stock so I had to make my own. Next year I will drive the 4 miles to the party store before making my own again!

But we all had a blast breaking them! And the best part was you don't have to clean it up since everything disintegrates :)

And naturally the one time Tessa was allowed to break an egg she didn't want to. She held onto that little egg and was not letting it go!

But after some serious convincing she broke it and loved it! I'm all excited for next Easter already!
